During a Nintendo Direct presentation in late June, Reggie Fil-Aime announced that two Virtual Console games would be released through the 3DS eShop every week throughout July. Classic titles like The Legend of Zelda and Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 were revealed, but then there were some…other games listed that might not be so legendary.

July 5th - The Legend of Zelda [NES]

July 12th - Kirby’s Pinball Land [Game Boy] and The Sword of Hope II [Game Boy]

July 19th - Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters [Game Boy] and Tumblepop [Game Boy]

July 26th - Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 [Game Boy]

Two Game Gear titles, Sonic Blast and Sonic Labyrinth, have also been confirmed been Nintendo has yet to announce when they’ll be released (but it looks like we’ll see one of those released with Zelda this week).

I’m all for newer Virtual Console titles to be released, but Sonic Labyrinth?! I didn’t even have a Game Gear, and I know that it was one of the worst Sonic games to ever be released!

Beyond that though, I’m pretty sure that my gaming for July will mostly consist of these titles especially that Wario Land title. I’ve never played it, can’t wait to burn through a lazy Sunday with it.
